update

I have been working in Indesign, creating the base of the interactive leaflet, using the distinctive brand colour purple. The screenshots below is the main page, displaying buttons which enable the user  to navigate their way around the brochure, and access information they are looking for quickly.

Sketches

Here are a few basic sketches of what we want our leaflet to look like. The leaflet will contain buttons which the user will be able to use to navigate there way around and find out the information they are looking for quicker. There will then be the moving image of what your room will look like, what breakfast will look like, etc, bringing the customers experience more to life and creating an exciting stay.                     

permission to use branding

My group got in contact with the Premier Inn head office in order to get permission to use their branding and name for our project, we have so far received feedback that they are delighted for us to go ahead and create this project, and are going to write up a formal letter for us, which we are just awaiting.

Branding Comparison

The Premier Inn is well established with its strong branding of purple as a trademark colour of their brand. I explored their branding across their website in order to look at what I could take as inspiration when it came to creating the interactive leaflet. The first thing I noticed when I went onto their website was their colouring technique. They use a white background to make it breathable, and clear for the reader. The soft blacks/grey they use for the wording so the text is not to strong on the eye. They had a strong purple banner which I have taken as inspiration as it allows a break between such a bold, block colour. Premier inn also used a lot of opposite colours such as oranges, yellows and blue, cleverly used on boxes which lead you to booking a room or choosing a location.
